Panama to invest $2Billion in 2010

In the Economic section of La Prensa today it stated how Panama is planning on investing $2 Billion in infrastructure including roads leading from Divisa to Las Tablas, a 4-way road to Boquete, among other road and airport projects, below is a translation of the article published today in La Prensa.
$ 2 billion invested in 2010 This amount includes not only roads, hospitals and the expansion of Tocumen, but studies for the metro and the city government. The government wants to implement in 2010 a public investment program of at least 2 billion dollars, reported yesterday by Minister of Economy and Finance, Alberto Vallarino. "The initiatives for next year are fairly clear: the subway, the city government, the expansion of the Canal, the sanitation of the bay. Among some of the new proyects inlcuded will be: The Civil Aeronautics will include in its budget the size of airports in Colon and David, he said. Also allocated in the funds for the first phase of the roads, Divisa-Las Tablas, the four-way road to Boquete, the expansion of the David-way stretch and Veraguas Santiago-La Mesa. Moreover, the comptroller Carlos Vallarino, commented on the the expansion of Tocumen Airport, with the addition of the north pier for $ 70 million. This work was supported by the Comptroller.
